My favorite is Tauscher Cronacher . I've had really good experiences with them. Good luck with your house hunt!

We worked with Tim Gill from World Inspecton Network and he was fantastic! We still refer to his report regularly to answer questions that come up.

We ended up going w/ Tauscher Cronacher and the report was extremely thorough and will be helpful if we decide to go forward. Thank you very much!

Re: buying a home - looking for engineer
We just had a home inspection done by John Koehler- he was wonderful. It was about 3 hours- he told us about everything inside and out from landscaping to testing the hot water. His # is 516-764-4076 and he came the day after i called him.

I second this! He was excellent! He was so thorough, emailed us the inspection and even gave us pictures. We called and he did it the next day. We called several times with questions and he's been nothing but helpful.

Re: buying a home - looking for engineer
We just had an inspection with Ron Smith of AAA - 631/736.0015. He was extremely thorough - definitely has the gift of gab - but we appreciated the time he took to explain everything to us.
