The Scoop on the Poop
Ok I just read the post on labor fears and it seems like the number one thing (other than the healthy baby part) that most of you are concerned about is the poop.
When I got pregnant the second time, I was at my ob/gyn. She said "Well you had no problems last time, went without any drugs you should be proud of yourself. I expect no problems with this pregnancy."
That's when I said I was not exactly thrilled with my performance with Joseph. That while the poop thing didn't bother me at all while it happened, I wasn't looking forward to a repeat with my second baby.
She told me that the minute I get to the hospital to ask for an enema and wrote it down in my chart. While there was absolutely no time to do anything except deliver with my second baby, I just wanted to let you know that there are options. Talk to your ob/gyn about it if you're concerned. She/He may be able to help you out.

Re: The Scoop on the Poop
It happened to me and I was most mortified that my DH was in the room to see it happen. You really just have to block it out of your mind.
