need fun restaurants, lounges, bars LI etc... I NEED TO GET OUT-done with this pity party

I am finally starting to get over the last idiot liar loser that I dated for a year and need to get out and start being me and having fun again.

Although I am done with the bar scene, sitting home upset is not going to get me anywhere..

Is there any fun restaurants with a bars, a bar or lounge- new or old- that you could recommend..prefer Long Island since i dont like doing the city in the rain...

Just need a new atmosephere to go with a couple of girlfriends and have fun...

TIA!!

I know a few places in Astoria, Queens with the bar/lounge/club atmosphere. If you feel like hiking it to Queens let me know..I can recommend some. They usually start out like dinner/lounge type and turn into clubs later on at night. They are always packed!

FirstChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I know what it's like - I met a good few azzes myself in the past.

I like going to Babylon Village with my single girlfriends. There's a couple of bar/restaurants (The Carriage House, The Argyle, Horace & Sylvias and the old reliable Post Office) that attract a nice crowd that's not too young.

First I wanted to give you Chat Icon Chat Icon

Ditto to the Babylon bars. Argyle grill is quite nice. The Post Office can be a little more *clubby* but it is still a good call. Also the Bulldog in Amityville is pretty cool.

I have not been there yet, but my BIL goes to Ciao Baby on Sunrise highway in Massapequa & he likes it there.

I agree with Babylon Village, always a good time. Went to Horace & Sylvias a couple of weeks ago and it was a good time. Blue Hanu in Huntington also has a good bar.

Good luck and hope you cheer up!

Four in Melville is suppose to have a really nice happy hour. Mill Pond House also has a tiki bar and looks over Centerport Harbor. That is really nice and a lot of fun.

Ciao Baby is good, in fact I am going their tomorrow night, but mostly couples, groups etc. I don't find it a place where people just hang out, usually they are just hanging while they wait for a table (which could easily be a couple of hours). Not a place to really meet someone, but it is fun and they have good martinis.

Blue Honu in Huntington
There are a lot of restaurants in Huntington Village that have a bar scene, so if you're unhappy at Blue Honu you at least have other options.
