Severe weather alert.
Severe Weather Alert from the National Weather Service ...BERGEN NJ-BRONX NY-EASTERN PASSAIC NJ-ESSEX NJ-HUDSON NJ- KINGS (BROOKLYN) NY-NASSAU NY-NEW YORK (MANHATTAN) NY- NORTHEAST SUFFOLK NY-NORTHERN FAIRFIELD CT-NORTHERN MIDDLESEX CT- NORTHERN NEW HAVEN CT-NORTHERN NEW LONDON CT-NORTHERN WESTCHESTER NY- NORTHWEST SUFFOLK NY-ORANGE NY-PUTNAM NY-QUEENS NY- RICHMOND (STATEN IS.) NY-ROCKLAND NY-SOUTHEAST SUFFOLK NY- SOUTHERN FAIRFIELD CT-SOUTHERN MIDDLESEX CT-SOUTHERN NEW HAVEN CT- SOUTHERN NEW LONDON CT-SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER NY-SOUTHWEST SUFFOLK NY- UNION NJ-WESTERN PASSAIC NJ- 1210 PM EDT TUE JUL 5 2005 ... LOCALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND SOME FLOODING POSSIBLE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...
THE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE THAT PROVIDED A PLEASANT HOLIDAY WEEKEND WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE OFFSHORE THIS AFTERNOON. IN ITS WAKE... SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE IN THE PROCESS OF USHERING IN A TROPICAL AIRMASS. AT THE SAME TIME... A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL WORK TOWARDS THE REGION TONIGHT AND THEN DRIFT EVER SO SLOWLY ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE MIDWEEK PERIOD.
AS THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE PUSHES IN FROM THE WEST... IT WILL ACT AS A FOCUS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SOME OF THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOCALIZED FLOODING. AT THIS TIME... IT APPEARS THAT AREAS WEST THROUGH NORTH OF THE METROPOLITAN AREA WILL BE UNDER THE GREATEST RISK FOR THIS... AND THEN GENERALLY FROM LATER TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY....

Re: Severe weather alert.
no not now. I am moving into my house July 15. Our home owners insurance does not kick in until July 14. no storm now!! I am going to NY the weekend of July 22 so no storm then either.
I could handle a storm maybe in August.
Thanks
