So the second day was MUCH, much harder than the first because I didn't have my sister to help me. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

DH leaves at 7 am for work and Bella woke up at 7:30 and ate her bottle. Normally you can count on at least an hour nap after she eats, sometimes 2...well today it took an hour to get her back down and she only slept for 40 minutes and now we were running late.

It's 9:45 and we are trying to get her used to cereal, so I fed her cereal and bananas, which took forever. And then it was cleaning her up, dressing her, making sure I had everything, making sure she had everything, and then walking a block and a half to the car (damn, she is getting heavy)

I was exhausted by the time I barely made the train in East Rockaway...and now I need prayers that my car doesn't get towed because I parked illegally...

You'll eventually get yourself into a routine. I agree, the beginning is real tough. You'll get through it.

Do you have to feed her before you leave? Can your sitter feed her? Maybe you can give her the bottle, get her in the car and then be on your way?

When I bring Delaney to Tutor Time, I just drop her off and go. Granted, she gets dropped off at 6:30 - 6:45. As soon as she gets there, they give her cheerios and then she has her full breakfast around 8:00.

We're all here for you - we're in the same boat. Try not to beat yourself up - like you said, you don't have a choice so there's really nothing you can do except accept it. Once I accepted this, I did much better. You're still a great mom and your daughter still loves you and will always want her mom!!!!!!!!

I would also say let the daycare feed her. My son is older now, 2, but that really saves time in the morning. He does eat something though each morning but it is usually dry cereal or a bagel so I don't have much to clean up.
Once you get into a routine, you will be fine.
Good luck!
