1st internal doctor appointment
Today I had my first internal...yay...
Well, it wasn't so bad and when I have Dr. Levine, I'm there and out in a flash.
I'm dialated 1/2 a centimeter and the baby, (he thinks), is mid sevens (pounds)
I'm having a sonogram next week to determine how big he is. I though I remember reading that sonograms aren't that accurate to determine weight...maybe I was wrong...
I was also having pains inside, like way up there, last night. He says that the baby is decending and putting pressure on my cervix.
I'll be updating you all soon on the sono next week...

Half a cm is close??? Really??? I feel like it's WEEKS away until this baby comes out. I feel great and sleep great too.

Don't worry about it - the day before I gave birth I was only 1 centimeter dilated.....my water broke about 16 hours later and I was in full on labor.
I'm so happy that you feel great! I am sending lots of easy labor vibes!!!

Sometimes internals help bring on the labor process, doctors can even do a little manipulation while they're in there ti help move things along.

I was 1 centimeter dialated and 90% effaced for about a month before my son decided to come. I thought I'd go a couple of weeks sooner, but he wanted to wait.

Oh how exciting Stefanie!! You are almost there! My cousin was only somewhat effaced and 0 dialiation three days before she went into labor 10 days early with her first so it could still be sooner!!
