First Appointment
So I am going for my first appt in which they said they would do a sono, and do an exam and to confirm my pregnancy officially....How many of you brought your DH with you?? And did he come in right from the beginning of the appt or just for the sono part?? Thanks!

Mine came with me to both, the first was the exam and they asked him to leave, which he was upset about, but ok, then we went back for the sono and he was able to stay the whole time! It was really cool for the both of us to see!! Good Luck

Mine came with me. First the dr. met with both of us in his office and went over a whole bunch of stuff. Then he did the sonogram and DH was there for that. Then DH left for the exam. When we went for the level 2 sono, dh stayed for the exam and I had to have an internal. That was not so great. Dh is not good with things like that.

I wonder if I will have to have another pap...i just had one on August 23rd....hmmm....although, I can't wait to go -- isnt that strange, can't wait to go to the doctor! Normally, I try to avoid them like the plague!

my dh came to most appointments - i think he missed two appts - i always found it helpful to have two sets of ears to take in whatever was shared with us and he enjoyed it for the most part - he even stayed during internals - although he is "trained" to not look or pay attention down there....it helped me relax having him there too and helped us get ready for labor too in a way i think....if your dh can come, i recommend it...my dh loves seeing the sonos and at every appt, listening to the heartbeat (later on!)
