I miss Bed Bath and Beyond
Sometimes homesicknesses hits me in the weirdest ways
I just spent about a half hour trying to figure out what one would call a dust ruffle in the UK, only to come up with a pitiful selection on the biggest department store's website!
I miss selection and choice!!!!!!

I actually did find out - they call them Valances here. Then my coworkers and I had a little scuffle about how they think American phrases are stupid and I think English ones are! I was like, See, in the States a valance is a window treatment!!!

Re: I miss Bed Bath and Beyond
I feel the homesick pain....yesterday as I made dinner I broke down and cried my eyes out. It hit me that I will be living in VA. for maybe the rest of my life and I missed my parents so much.

I was just about to say a valance. I know it's hard, I had to make the reverse switch. Sometimes I feel like I'm speaking a totally different language

Oh, I'm sorry! I used to have those episodes all the time - where I would cry like a little girl, seriously, you know when you can't catch your breath. My poor DH didn't know what to do for me
It does get a little better - you will get past the crying stage!
