my brother is worrying me
He is in his mid 30s. Maybe it is a mid life crises. He just does not seem to have any direction. He was engaged to a great girl for over a year. She really straightened him out. Took care of him, evreything. But he ended it last summer, after putting the wedding off and off and off. She was so sweet. I know she was hurt by it. I actually thought they were getting back together (Hanging out and stuff for the last few months. His self confidence was back. He was happy and himself more. ) Today he comes over to tell me he just bought a 30000 dollar sports car. And all he needs now is a blond on his arm!!! He can barely afford his rent each month. What am I going to do with him.

Re: my brother is worrying me
Does he have a history of depression or eradic behavior? It sounds like he needs to seek out therapy.

Encourage him to talk. And to see a therapist.

I agree that he needs therapy...he may be really depressed and this is the way that he is handling it.

Re: my brother is worrying me
Have you had a heart to heart with him. I would let him know that I'm concerned for him, for his happiness. Not pointing fingers or blaming him for his own actions but just let him know how you feel. Maybe invite him over or go have dinner somewhere where you guys can talk about what you see in him so far. Good luck and keep us posted.
