red wine ?
If you drink the same type of a red wine regularlly(sp?), do you ever get a bottle tasting quite different? I've gotten this same red many times before and it's not tasting the same almost like it's carbonated- bleh!

It tastes that way cause it is going bad, there could have been a slight hole in the cork and air was getting in

Yes. It's usually with the less expensive brands in my experience. I assumed it was because part of the value of the wine is the consistency in quality of the winery.

Maybe that batch is all bad? All the corks could be faulty....

I just spoke to DH (he has been in the wine business for years), he said it is definitely possible for a bunch of bottles to be like that. He said it is the wine going bad.

Thats what I asked DH to - he said it was possible, but may not be the reason. It could be it was left out a little longer before bottled.
