For those of you who have Gestational Diabetes...
What were your symptoms?
I am hypoglycemic and I know there is a good chance that I could have GD. This morning I had a bowl of cereal and then coffee. Usually if I drink coffee with food I am OK...but today the coffee made my sugar crash SO bad I was eating a hershey's bar at 10am!
I'm worried this could be signs that my sugar is borderline already.

I had no symptoms. Discuss it with your OB. They might have you do the Glucose test earlier in your pregnancy. You may not have a problem.
If you think your sugar was low, that is not gestational diabetes. It sounds like your body was able to process those carbs and sugars quickly, that is why your sugar was low.
Your body will go thru so many changes as the placenta and the baby get bigger. You may end up with it towards the end of your pregnancy.
But then again, I am not a Dr....LOL

Don't worry too much... I'm hypoglycemic also AND I have a history of diabetes in my family AND I experience hypoglycemic shock quite often during the pregnancy, but I passed the GD test with flying colors... I don't think one necessarily has anything to do with the other. Just make sure you eat frequent, small meals throughout the day and try to avoid the sugars!
