Insert foot into mouth!---
This is kind of a spinoff post to the Parenting board re: kids say the funniest things, I got a real kick out of reading the varies replies, so I thought we could do one here re: our DHs.
So, post your DHs "slips":
One night I was on the scale and DH comes over and says, "Did you eat an ice cream?"
I looked at him, wondering what he meant, because he wasn't being sarcastic.
He said in all sincerity, "well, you are usually 109, tonight you are 110".
I gave him the look of death! He tried to fix his statement, too late.

I don't think I have had many slips.
But one guy once told me his wife asked him the infamous question "Does this make me look fat???".
The guy answered with, "No honey... your cellulite makes you look fat".

I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I do know one phrase that will never come out of DH's mouth "You are usually 109"

Re: Insert foot into mouth!---
I was trying on this fleece I was going to buy as a souvenier when we were on vacation. So I put it on and say to him, "What do you think?" He says, "It's nice and if you lose a few pounds, it will really look nice..." I must have given him some look, because he felt bad immediately.
I have been trying to lose weight, and in his defense, DH is usually very supportive. I knew what he was trying to say was, "It looks nice and you will still get a lot of use out of it even if you lose weight." I think the guy in the store was trying to stifle his laughter.

Re: Insert foot into mouth!---
Before DH and I got married, we were talking about the ceremony and I was explaining to him how it all goes. He's not Catholic and has never been to a Catholic wedding. He's from Alabama and is used to wedding ceremonies being nothing more than "Do You..." and "I Do"...kiss....ok you're married.
Anyway, so I tell him that our ceremony will be about 30 minutes, and he says "WHAT?! 30 minutes? But I'll be so bored!" He should be lucky that we didn't do a mass!

Re: Insert foot into mouth!---
well, a few months ago my DH said to me and I quote " Babe, I don't want you to eat all that food on your plate." So I asked why and he said "Well, I don't want you to get a double chin." Like it was nothing!

Re: Insert foot into mouth!---
My DH has spoken English since he was 5 years old, but his first language was Spanish.
When we were engaged one night he came over and said "What's wrong, you look molested?" I was like and then I realized molestar is the Spanish verb for bothered. He will never live that down.
