Celebrate The Last Days of Summer On The Hudson With
A Family Festival Featuring Carnival Rides, Music, Square Dancing and More!
Riverside Park South invites you to celebrate the final days of Summer On The Hudson at the 4th Annual West Side County Fair on Sunday, September 17th, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Welcome the change of seasons at this free, family-friendly festival featuring carnival rides and games, a petting zoo, the NYC Greenmarket farmer?s market, strolling performers, pony rides, live music, great food, arts and crafts.
Mister Mystical Magical Monty will emcee this afternoon extravaganza of interactive entertainment. Dance along to live music by Oran Etkin and the New Orleans All-Stars, Jan Bell and the Cheap Dates and The Bosco Stompers. ?Do-si-do? your partner with square dance callers Dot and Don Coy and enjoy strolling performances and sideshow entertainment from Mr. Pennygaff and Philomena of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, comedian/juggler Will Shaw and stiltwalker Brenn Swanson.
Sample some home baked goodies from Grandaisy Bakery and Whole Earth Bakery & Kitchen, indulge in some kettle corn from Dale & Thomas, or enjoy traditional carnival treats like cotton candy and hot pretzels. Find unique gifts or treat yourself to arts and crafts ranging from handmade scarves to one-of-a-kind jewelry by regional artisans. Or learn more about the community and park activities from participating organizations like The Riverside Park Fund.
