4th grade teachers
I teach 4th grade special ed, all behavior issues.
I mentioned Adolf Hitler in a biography discussion today as an example that they may see biographies about people who didn't make a positive impact in history.
Most never heard of him, or the holocaust.
I was wondering if this is common with most non-Jewish 9 and 10 yr olds in gen Ed classes? I knew a lot about it at that age but I had family who were affected by it and went to yeshiva....

Ditto...and my kids didn't even know who the Gov. and Mayor were.

My kids don't even know the name of the ocean they live next to and it's about 4 blocks away!
