5 good follies
When I had my sono today I had many follies, but I had 5 between 14 and 15.5. I am so excited, for all my other iui's I've only had 2 dominant follies. They started me on 75 iu's this cycle and I guess it really worked. the NP said the doctor will be calling me before the iui to talk about the chance of multiples and selective reduction. I can't think about that right now. I'm just so excited right now at how much the 5 follies increases my chances.

Re: 5 good follies
Congrats! Great response! They will talk to you about the selective reduction/multiple risk to make sure you are comfortable going ahead with the cycle even with the risks. I think you will be fine.
But, so you know, even having the 5 right now, there is not a guarantee that all 5 will mature at the same rate so that they are all released at trigger - so you can avoid some of the danger. This past cycle I was showing 5 at the same size early on and it turned out only 3 were ready at the trigger time. I know my doctor will not allow the cycle to go ahead with any more than 4 follies because it's too dangerous.
Good luck!

I hope that all 5 don't mature, but I would like more than 2. I am probably getting ovidrel saturday or sunday night. they were all measuring around 12 yesterday and they grew to 14, 15, 15, 15.5 and 15.5. there are smaller ones around 12 that won't be mature by then. I am just very excited. I knew something was different this time, I've been having very slight cramps. I was also worried about having too many because my RE will cancel if there is too many, but like you said they all won't mature. thank you!

Well then I hope those 4 15's all mature in time! Good luck!
