Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
I wouldn't worry to much -- I went last week at 5w3 days and we saw the sack -- I have an appt on monday and will be 7w3d
Dr wasn't upset just said we have to see a hb next visit.
Praying for you

I'm sure it's ok, so early a day or two makes a big difference.

things change so drastically in the beginning. Yes, 2 weeks seems like forever, but you will make it

Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
Honestly, I had never even heard of a fetal pole at that time. We saw a sac and yolk sac and were told that was great. I don't know if there was a fetal pole or not bc it was never mentioned. I know 2 weeks takes forever that early but hopefully it will go fast and everything will be great!

that happened to me too - I was so nervous for nothing. I went back in less than a week - and they still weren't sure It just wasn't enough time. Just went for my 12 wk appt and everything is fine.

Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
They found the fetal pole for me at 5w6d. Maybe it's too early. ETA: I was 5w 6d but Ive been measuring a little further so I could have been 6w 2d

Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
I think it's too early and absolutely nothing to worry about. I was seeing an RE and he wouldn't do a sono until 6 weeks because of this.

Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
If your physician wasn't concerned, I'd take their lead - though I'm sure it's difficult. This is why most OBs will actually not see you until 7-9 weeks - causes unnecessary concern

Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
Aside from all the above info that has been said, just adding that this pregnancy I have always been a week behind and I know that I cant be bc I know when I had my period and ovulated etc... If your dates are off like mine are, it could be that you are only 4 weeks 5 days which I wouldnt think you would see it anyway. Just a thought.

Re: 5 weeks 5 days and no fetal pole
You could be a few days off with your dates or it could just be too early. Try to listen to your doc and not be concerned. Good luck!
