5 year old boy's sneakers

What size is your 5 yr old wearing? DS is still on the small size for his age. He's in a 9 and I love the NB sneakers. Usually get a great price online. I always go on shoebuy.com, but not seeing anything I love.

Any ideas? May run to the Nordstrom's sale. I feel like the Infant/Toddler sneakers all look alike. Want to get the next size since he's in a 9 now and by kindergarten he may move up.

Where do you get yours and what are they wearing? You still do adjustable straps? DS still has the straps.

My DS is also on the smaller size and he is a size 10.

I usually get his sneakers at Footlocker or Footaction when they are on sale. I buy him Nikes, Adidas and Jordans. The Nikes and Adidas I find on sale a lot. For the summer I always buy a pair of the Cherokee skippy type sneakers without the laces at Target.

They have tie ones or elastic laces that you don't need to tie

My boys wear converse, adiddas or puma b/c they are lightweight and comfortable.
They're not a fan of Nike b/c they are bulkier .....
I usually shop at 6pm.com, Zappos, the outlets, sometimes famous footwear.

I might try the DCs next - My nephew (4 y/o) LOVES them

ds wears a 10 or 11 depending on the shoe. I usually get converse from zappos, I keep these as the "nice" sneakers, something we try to keep clean and wear when we need a nicer looking sneaker. Hope that made sense. I get school and play sneakers at target or stride rite.

DS is 4 and wears a 10 but his feet have really slowed down growth wise.

I usually buy from zappos!
