5 year-old girl birthday: suggestions wanted
Okay, I'm in a bit of a pickle. My daughter would really like to have her birthday party at Lipstick and Lollipops, which I would love too, except that it's mondo expensive. She has 22 kids in her class (!) and wants to invite all of them, so if they all showed up, the party would cost $753 (plus favors and stuff)! EEK.
Her last two parties were both gymnastics parties. I can't have the party at our house because we have a tiny house. I want to do something different and special for her on a budget of about $400. Any ideas?

I also heard California Pizza Kitchen offers very reasonable birthday parties!!

I love that place, it's soooo cute! But sooo expensive!!!
How about a cheerleading party at a cheer gym. $275 for 15 kids, bday girl free. $15 each additional. FM me if you want the name
ohh I realized you said her last two parties were at gymnastics places. I think the cheer gym party is similar to that, with a rock climbing wall, etc. so that probably won't work. How about at a playhouse to see a kids show? We did that one year, it was cute.

Fantastic... thank you so much! I never heard of Ice Cream Shoppe, but now that I see three glowing recommendations, I'll definitely check it out. :) You're right that the cheer gym is probably too close to her last 2 parties, but I'd love the name anyway for future years... that's a good price!

I'm planning a party right now at Nunley's Carousel in Garden City. I've only heard and read good things about it and the price is right.
25 kids, 25 adults, pizza, 1.5 hours for $350, or 2 hours for $400. I'm going to check it out on Sunday in person but here's a link. From what I've seen the parties look great and very unique. Plus I've been looking online for invites and favors and such and there are tons of circus or big top themed items that seem to "go".

Thinking if you want to lipsticks and lollipops you are out east? How about doing a swimming party at a hotel withy an indoor pool?
Or try renting a legion hall and bring in entertainment?
