**Nassau County walking group**
This is who is in so far for Monday 11/1 at 11:00:
We will meet at Cedar Creek Park, field 3 (it is the first lot on the right)
I will also keep a list of people who are interested, but can't make it this week...hopefully they can come other weeks.

I need to shed a bit of this baby weight, but since I am staying home for a few months, I have no $$ for Stroller Strides or the gym  Anyone interested in starting a walking group for the fall?? I feel like talking while I walk always makes the time pass faster. I was thinking we could meet once or twice a week at different parks (I live near Cedar Creek and John Burns, but please suggest others) with our strollers, and walk for an hour or so. Anyone interested?? If so, reply to this thread and let me know:
What day(s) work best for you
What time you think we should meet
Any other suggestions for where we can walk?

We are doing at GTG this thursday at eisenhower if you want to come!!
I think thursdays would work the best, that seems to be the consensus for good days. I am down for any park, Cedar Creek is really nice, never been to John Burns.

I would be interested, I am only off Mondays and Fridays though so I sometimes try to go to the Arboretum Fridays.

I think this is a great idea. I'll be home starting in mid-october. I'm on the south shore of nassau. What aboout walking the boardwalk on long beach or jones beach? (may work early fall before it gets too cold)

Count me in! I'm home with DS so any weekday/time works for me. Weekends are trickier because DH is home and we usually have plans.

Does anyone want to try Monday 8/23? We could give that a shot, and then see if Mondays work best for everyone, or if we want to switch it to another day, or add a day or whatever. I would definitely be willing to try a weekend too, I just know it gets a little trickier with people having plans and stuff. Maybe if this work out we can do some weekends in the fall?
OK, so if anyone is in for walking Monday 8/23 let me know!! How is 10:00?

This is a great idea...I can't do Monday the 23rd, but I can do any other Mondays...Cedar Creek is a great place...I live about 20 minutes from there...

i'd love to come too...i'm in south east nassau so those parks would be perfect for me and the girls! can't come monday though...it's the day after dd2's christening and i will have company in from out of town. let me know about the next time though!

Me too! I wish I had a more flexible schedule at work so I can do more stuff with Sean during the week. Maybe we can get together sometime with the babys. That would be nice. We dont live too far from each other.
