56th Fighter Group closing
A popular bar and restaurant is closing its doors after 30 years.
The 56th Fighter Group, located at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, is dealing with tax issues. The manager tells Newsday that the restaurant has been unable to reach a deal with the Town of Babylon on a $159,000 payment in lieu of property taxes.
The restaurant will close Aug. 12.

Used to go to happy hour there and for work functions. Never thought it was that great but I know a lot of people who are sad to see it go.
