Lydia Lorraine 8/23/10

I was in labor all weekend at home (starting Fri. after I had my membranes stripped at my doctors appointment) and had a dr. appoint Mon. at 1:45...on Mon. morning I knew I had to see the Dr.'s earlier so I went in at 10am..they thought I wouldnt be ready to go...but when the Dr. checked me I was 5cm and my water had broke! (which I didnt know..I think it might have happened the night before when I took a quick bath because I was in so much pain!!!) she sent me right to the hospital. The Dr. let me try on my own for 2 or 3 hrs. then started pitocin. I went without an epidural until 7:00pm! I was trying hard not to get it! They kind of forced me to get the epidural because they thought I was probably going to have to get a c/s anyway because I was still only 5cms! At 9:13 lydia was born by c/s because she started going into stress. They had her out in no time! All in all it was not as bad as I thought it could be...she is so worth it!
I am still a little sore but the c/s recovery was not as bad as I expected. The worst part of it for me was feeling totally out of it- I saw my daughter be born took a few pictures then started to feel out of it and like i was falling alseep. I wish they would have warned me before hand that I would feel like that. I was in recovery for about 4 hours then was taken to my room and had DD in my arms!
Lydia Lorraine was born 8/23/10 at 9:13pm at 8 pounds 3 ounces.
She is healthy, happy, and the love of my life!!
