6 Panel Fiberglass Outside Doors
Does anyone know how much these cost?
I was thinking about putting in a fancy new door but I kind of like the simplicity of a 6 panel door with a nice storm door in front of it.

I think it depends on how nice you want it to be and the size.
We bought one for our back door (althought the top half has glass) and it was only about $300-$400. But it is white and we bought it at home depot...it wasn't a special order or anything.....
We bought an all glass storm door for the front and that awas $500-$600, but it was a special order b/c of the size...

It depends on if you need a custom order or not. We need a custom door and sidelight and it is costing about $1800.

how do you know you need a custom door? Do you take a measurement? It looks like a pretty standard size but I could be wrong.

You have to take a measurement. You can have Lowe's do it for $30 bucks. We thought ours looked standard too but since we have a brick house we have a 9" door jam, whereas the standard door jam is approximately 4".

yes you have to measure, but you should have someone who knows what they are doing measure b/c there is a different measurement for just the door and the door and frame.
If your house is not too old, you probably wont need custom, we have an old house....

Our house is old. I'm in for it!
The house was built in 1931 and is brick. Double whammy.
Ok, at least I know what I'm in for.
