6 week sono showing twins!!

OK - so Im still in disbelief and shaking and probably going to get sick as I type it..

I cant believe it Chat Icon How did you do it??? I think after knowing how hard it was with one, Im wondering how the HELL Im going to do this with two babies??!!

I have a 3 year old and Im soooo excited for him to be a big brother - but Im so scared!! (thats putting it lightly)

I feel terrible about the time Im going to be giving to the babies and not to him. Im already looking at how hard it will be and not seeing the positive...

Please help me with this - I feel awful.. I hope thats normal..

any advice would be awesome (Im shaking)

Re: 6 week sono showing twins!!

thanks ladies... all ive been doing is reading up on some of your posts or looking at pictures - and as a result - im eating!! (totally an emotional eater!!)

its all too new and very scary. Ive come to realize the fist 4-8 weeks (like any newborn) will be the toughest..

I go back Saturday - it was very early to see both heartbeats - baby a was in the front and with a little flicker... baby b was hiding and never saw it for quite some time until the technician moved around.

I will keep you all posted and will be stalking you all for sure!!!

THANKS!

the beginning is crazy, but you will make it work!! my son was just over 2 1.2 when my twins were born. i literally think it took weeks for the shock to wear off but i was still a nervous wreck!! my son adores his brother and sister and we work well together now. you will figure it all out.Chat Icon

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I know the feeling oh to well. TTC for one and get a buy one get one special Chat Icon

DS was almost 3 when the girls were born. He adjusted amazingly well. We did a lot of prepping while I was pregnant. Reminding him soon he'd have 2 little sisters to play with.

We spent a lot of time at home in the beginning. I EBF. So there was a lot of nursing going on but I would make DS be a part of it. "Can you get the pillow for mommy so she can feed the babies" Or I'd set up a snack and a movie in my room so he could hang with us. My parents live downstairs so they would offer to take him so he'd have some time apart from the girls.

Overall, he loves having little sisters. My girls are 10 months old now and they all play, fight, yell, and laugh.

I can't imagine my life without twins now!
