It's crazy - they came here legally and have established lives here. To just say, "OK, time to go now. . . " This guy makes me sick every day!

I read one article and it sounds like this was never suppose to be permanent and they have actually extended it a few months to allow for those living here to get their stuff in order.

So what is the answer. Should we just do away with any kind of immigration laws and let anyone who wants to come in?

Politicians need to have the American people in mind first. Immigration laws exist for a reason. It is a vetting process and it controls how many people live in our country. Most if not all developed countries have these rules so that it doesn't become a drain on our society. Our schools are overcrowded and our national debt is out of hand. These people aren't settling in middle America where there may be more space. They are settling in cities that are already over crowded. Taking care of these people costs money. I wonder how many of them are helping their country get back on its feet. Are they donating money or time? They knew it wasn't a permanent situation. Any politician (Dem or Repub) won't win. People won't be happy if we deport them, People aren't happy if taxes go up to fund things like this. I would bet most would be annoyed if these families wound up in their communities and threw the classroom caps over the 25 kids. They would be demanding more teachers and that the schools be expanded and then complain that their taxes went up to fund it.
