Sure can! I am 29 weeks and just got back from Aruba Just make sure to walk around on the plane so you don't get blood clots. Also, talk to your doc about when is the latest you can fly. My doc is cautious and said 30 weeks.

Re: Can u go on a plane preggo
Also my friend told me when I flew not to go through the x-ray machine, but to ask for a pat down. I hope you fly pregnant!!!!

I flew to Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands during my second trimester, and I felt fine.

My friend flew a few times when she was pregnant, they just made her change her seat because she was in an exit row.

Re: Can u go on a plane preggo
I've flown a bunch of times while pregnant. The funniest part is that the baby really responded to take-off - every time we took off, it felt like the baby was trying to climb out of my mouth! (not uncomfortable, just amusing).
If you have been having morning sickness, be sure to ask the flight attendants for airsick bags - in my recent experience, it's no longer standard to keep them in the seatback pockets. I never needed them, but was glad I had them just in case.

In all honesty, it is not the best to fly in the very beggining of pregnancy. But a lot of people do it it it turns out OK!

Re: Can u go on a plane preggo
I flew throughout my pregnancy. I actually found out I was pg in Munich. I flew up until my 33rd week. I think I took about 20 flights while pg.

I don't think there's actually proof of that. I found out I was pregnant 2 days before a planned trip and consulted my regular Dr. and my OBGYN and they both said there is no proven danger of flying while pregnant.

Re: Can u go on a plane preggo
I will be flying regularly starting next week...through 36 weeks and the doctor said it was fine. Just to move around to prevent blood clots and drink plenty of water.

Oh yeah, as someone mentioned, get the pat down instead of going through the x-ray machine. Besides being safer, it is like a mini-massage!! Also, when you check in, make sure to mention you are pregnant (even if you are showing - they never assume!). If available and not in a exit row, you might be able to get bulkhead seats. On the flights both ways, the flight attendant blocked off the 3rd seat in our row as unsellable so DH and I had our own row. How nice was that? Going there wasn't a stretch since the plain was pretty empty but coming home, we had one of the only empty seats onthe plane!
