60th birthday gift ideas for my Aunt.... help!
Okay, I am in desperate need of a gift for my Aunt. It is her 60th birthday, next week. I am a little sick of shelling out a lot of $$ and not getting the nicest of gifts in return, I am a very generous person, and go overboard sometimes. Not to sound cheap, what can I get in the 35.00 to 50.00 price range that will look nice. ( I just gave them a 50.00 gift card for the holidays, and gourmet coffees, and matching mugs, for Mothers day I gave her gold earrings with semi precious stones and a gift card to a nursery for outdoor things. etc ,and her son who is my cousin who is 27 and has a full time well paying job we always give gifts and not get anything in return, not that it is all about the gifts because it is not, but me and my DH are a little ticked off about this , as well as my sister and BIL are too. Any suggestions or ideas on what to give her?????

I just went to my cousin's 60th b'day party. Since she loves to write, and by that I do not mean emails, I went to Papyrus and bought her stationery and a beautiful journal. She loved it. Just a suggestion.

On that note-- I gave my aunt a gift of an embosser, of her monogram-- and I got some really nice paper-- which I embossed for her-- and matching envelopes. Then I packaged it up in a pretty box with ribbons, etc. Very personalized and looked like it was a lot more $$ than it was. And-- it keeps on giving because she can always make her own personalized/monogrammed stationary.
I also recommend a nice necklace or something. You can get a nice "fashion costume" piece for $50-- check out banana republic.
