looking for ideas in NYC

I am taking my stepdaughter & her friends from Long Island to Crumbs(the cupcake place) On Saturday night for her 17th birthday. there are 3 locations relatively close to our apartment.
Madison & 52
Third & 53
Grand Central

We don't live there fulltime & honestly me & DH never do anything touristy so I'm clueless.
I would love to either take the girls somewhere really fun to eat dinner first or we will eat someplace quick & try to do something fun before we go to Crumbs.

There are 6 girls plus me so cab rides will be a total PITA. Since the weather has been SO FREEZING I wouldn't be willing to walk to far with them.

So can you think of anything really close to one of the crumbs locations that would fit the bill?
We will be returning to our place east 56th & Lexington to stay overnight on Saturday but Crumbs closes at 9.

I LOVE Crumbs!!

There is this place called "The Burger Joint" located inside of the Parker Meridian Hotel, and that is 119 W 56th (I'm not sure how close that would be to the Crumbs on 52nd and 53rd), which serves only burgers, fries, and shakes, but there are tons of celebrities who have eaten there, and their pictures and autographs are all over the place. It's literally a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the food is really quite good, and it's a cute little place that teenagers would probably like.
