Has anyone been SO SURE AF was coming and still get a BFP?

TTCer here!

I tested today (10 dpo) and got a BFN. AF is due in 4 or 5 days. I started to get every classic text book, "AF is on her way" symptom today, right on schedule. Im 99% sure Im out bc of that.

Anyone have the same thing and end up with a BFP? Im holding onto any glimmer of hope, obviously, but Im sure any morning now, Ill wake up with a visitor. Booooooo!

With the BFP I got (before the miscarriage) I was sure I was getting my period, I had all the symptoms. DH even said to me "When are you getting your period, because you're acting like a real b!tch" --- Apparently not only AF makes me bittchy - but so does pregnancy!

me! all the symptoms i had exactly matched what i experienced in passed months leading up to af. i tested on 10 dpo (the day af was due- i have a short lp) and got a bfp.

same here for me! I have been preg. twice. (chemcial in dec. and 5w3d now) I felt that way both times. SAME symptoms as AF. I even had very light pink spotting this time (maybe implantation??) and swore AF was coming. Two days later I took a test and BFP. Good luck to you!!!

I would have bet money on it! I had cramping just like I would get when my period would come. The only thing different is that rather than have cramping the day before AF was due, it started about 5 days before AF was due. I thought that was strange.

I kept telling DH "I'm not pregnant - I am positive." I even had implantation bleeding that I thought was a light period. I was SO sure. It wasn't until like a week past when AF was due that my boobs started killing me and I got suspicious.

What I thought was spotting b4 my pd was implantation bleeding before my BFP.

I thought for sure AF was coming and def thought I'd be out bc we only BD once that month bc I came down with some infections But little did I know, that's all it took! I did have AF like cramps just before she was due so I def thought she was coming!

I have long cycles and would sometimes routinely take an HPT around 30 or 31 days into my cycle just because.

Around the 32nd day of my cycle or so, I took an HPT and it was negative. Another week went by and I was waiting for my period to come and nada. I actually took the HPT around CD38 or 39 thinking "I'll take this and my period will FINALLY come..like the 38309 times before."

Low and behold....the BFP came.

I had a slightly crampy, very "full" feeling in my uterus that could have been mistaken for AF cramps but it was just somehow different. I could definitely see someone mistaking it for AF symptoms. I had cramping for quite a while in the beginning but no bleeding or spotting. Good luck to you!

I didnt test till AF was due, because i was soo sure i wasnt prego.
i cried to my best friend a few days before i tested cuz i was soo sure it would be negative and AF was coming.

here i am 27 weeks prego!!

Yes actually - I have had 2 M/Cs with both of thos ei knew right away i was prego. Im talking about 3/4 days after conception i just knew. I felt very different. Now with this pregnancy. I swore no way. I though AF was totally on the way. I didnt even bother to test until i was 5 days late. Well low & behold im 20 weeks prego now. So you never know.

The one month of TTCing that I was SURE I wasn't pregnant was the one that I was pregnant. I was exhausted, crampy, everything. I was out shopping with my mom and even stopped to pick up emergency pads because I was sure I was getting AF right then! Apparently I was wrong... I finally decided to take a test a week after AF was due.

Last cycle I didn't get a bfp until 12dpo. It was a chemical, but still... it was stark white before then!

I thought I was PMSing days leading up to my BFP.

For most women BFP symptoms mimic AF symptoms so it is so tricky!

This time -- no - I knew i was preg bc of my experiences from last time, but with my 1st pregnancy, I had horrible AF cramps and kept checking for AF, certain it was there, but it wasn't. When I tested, I was pretty shocked!

Yup....I was sure that as I took the test I would start AF Now I have an almost 15month old.....I also found that for the 1st 8-9wks it ALWAYS felt like AF was coming any minute. Mild cramps and bloating. It's very normal

I was four days late and still insistent that I was getting my period. All the symptoms were there of AF.

For my 1st pregnancy yes definitely. I was positive AF was coming, had cramps, headache etc. I had made those symptoms into pregnancy symptoms many times before so I just assumed I was making it up in my head again and they were really AF symptoms. I got a BFN at 9DPO and then a BFP at 12DPO. Good luck!

When I was pregnant with Cai, we weren't trying. I was a week late and was convinced AF was coming any day. It felt like she was about to come every day.... I was getting so annoyed and attributed it to stress.

Yessssss.....I was so sure that I even took Advil that morning bc I had AF cramps. A few hours later I took a test and got a BFP

Me! I felt for sure AF was coming. So much so I didn't bother testing before I went away for a few days. Well AF never came and I tested when I came back. I was shocked when I saw the BFP since I thought for sure AF was coming.
