Who took their own cake smash pics??
I have an awesome DSLR camera....I want to do DS cake smash shot myself..
How did you set up the area?
I have an awesome source of natural light....
What back drop did you use? How did you get the back drop to stay up? Did you use plexiglass? How do some of you get that wood floor antique look under them is it paper?
And where would I buy any of this stuff.
Thank you so much for any input! The only thing I know I got down cold is how I am going to make my cake!

I didnt take my own but I can answer some of your questions-
You can buy seamless backdrop paper for like $20 you can get whatever color you would like. Unless you plan on doing photography on the side I wouldnt recommend buying a backdrop stand or even the fake wood floor (each runs about $100) same with plexi glass it looks awesome but its not really necessary and if you have no use for it afterwards theres not point in spending the money. So I would just buy the paper and either tape the top to a wall or something tall

Just a thought, but for all the money you'd have to invest to get the look you want you could afford to hire someone to do it

we didnt take our own but my photographer didnt have a set-up, so I just bought a queen sheet set- got it at Target and it was super cheap so that if it got ruined, I could toss it

I didnt take my own. Id rather hire a professional and have professional quality pics. I have a great SLR also. But it doesnt make me a photographer.
Do you have wood floors in your house? Can you just use a blank wall and the floor in your house?
