HOLIDAY DONATION THREAD- MORE special messages, and some pics.

Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to let you all know that the first family picked up today. I just got a message from the mom, who asked me to share it with everyone, because it's for you guys....

"I am so completely blown away by everything that was donated. Words can not express how grateful I am to you and to the rest of the LIF community. I can not wait for the children to see these gifts given to them. There really is a Santa and he lives in the hearts of the amazing and generous LIF family.

I hope you have a beautiful Christmas.

God bless you."

UPDATE: Here's a note from another mom who wanted to thatnk you guys:

"When writing to Meaghan, I was beside myself. I was in complete denial about how financially strapped we were for the first time ever. I explained to her how temporary my situation was and that I would totally understand if she didnt believe we needed it as much as others. See, I am the type that is usually the "helper" not the recipient so I couldnt believe my situation. Lets just say that I can see why Meaghan began this. To pay it forward and I truly believe this will live on forever within me. I could not believe the help that the LIF community has provided. When I brought everything home, I was so overwhelmed. Thank you so much to all that contributed. You made my children's holiday season incredible. You made my stressful event a little easier. I cant even begin to tell you how grateful we are to each and every one of you. I wish only the best for everyone and a Happy and Healthy holiday season."


I also wanted to share some pictures of some of the things that were received for just some of the kids. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of everything, but I wanted to give you an idea of the sheer outpouring of support...







This was the 6 month old girl that needed clothes... She received 25 outfits!!!

my office will take the 16month old boy and the 18 month old girl!!!!!

If I may suggest - can people include if they mean to buy a toy or clothes for the child they've chosen? That way a child doesn't end up with just clothes or just toys?

I will buy for the 18mo girl and plan to get her both toys and clothing.



Thank you for setting this up. I'm happy it will help local families instead of being sent away. People face hardships all over the world but sometimes it's closer than we like to think.
