What does your mom like? Gardening, reading? What are her hobbies?

Re: 70th b-day party favors
For my mom's surprise 60th we bought a lot of those small Pino bottles of wine and replaced the label with a pic of my mom's sweet 16 pic and did a little message on the back about the girl from the Bronx. We did it all ourselves on the comuter and the bottles were only $2.50 - $3 each. We had them at every table to give to each couple.

Re: 70th b-day party favors
my MIL did a great fovor for my bridal shower that was cheap and everyone liked. it was also not wedding related.
she got packets of flower seeds, and small clay pot, put it in little clear plastic bags and used refia to tie the package closed. it looked to cute, and everyone liked it.
I believe she got both very cheap. the pots were around $1 and the seeds are cheap at home depot, i want to say $1 or less

Re: 70th b-day party favors
you could also do some sort of baked goods. make a big batch of sugar cookies/choc. chip and wrap in plastic with a ribbon and print tags up that say her name and 70th birthday
everyone loves cookies!!

Re: 70th b-day party favors
My mom threw herself a 70th b-day party. She gave out bottles of wine that she got from one of the LI vineyards. The only other thing I remember is she bought by the case for a great price and picked them up in Pt Jeff.

Re: 70th b-day party favors
We threw my Grandma a surprise 80th birthday party in 2007 and my mom made the favors. She bought coffee mugs from the dollar store then filled them with a small package of coffee, some flavored tea bags, and a small package of cookies. I think for the kids she did hot cocoa instead of coffee. Added some confetti and wrapped it in tulle and ribbon.

For my mother's 50th birthday party Ibought Win 4 Life scratch offs. I put them in a clear favor bag with the crinkly paper. Tied a tulle ribbon around it and attached a tag that said:
"Having such wonderul family and friends has made me a "winner 4 life" already"

My MIL's 60th we did favors from EBAY, Emma's Edibles (shes awesome) and had a photo placed on a chocolate square. It was really cool actually. Just something small to give out.
