When you are grocery shopping for your household, how much do you usually spend weekly?

Re: Poll of the Week! 2/20/12

I try to keep it under $100.00 for a family of 3.

Note: Avoid Target, stick to a list.

Re: Poll of the Week! 2/20/12

this is for 2 people.

if i was to go on a weekly basis, it would be around 75. but i shop on a bi-weekly basis or sometimes in every 3 weeks. if i go every 2 weeks its usually around 150, every 3 weeks, close to 200.

about 80% of everything i buy is on sale. produce and meat and a few other essentials are the exception.

Re: Poll of the Week! 2/20/12

For two of us, it's anywhere between about $45 - $65...it depends on what we have onhand already and what our plans are for the week. However, most of our meals are at home/prepared at home and taken to work. We do takeout for maybe three meals a week (including lunches).

However, that's for food and beer/wine. Paper products and pet stuff we buy from BJs, and I make most of our cleaning products at home.

I spend less than 100/wk on groceries for me by just going out to dinner more often.

Does that count? Chat Icon

Re: Poll of the Week! 2/20/12

i spend about 50 a week for 2 os uf. but i have to say that my pantry closet is stocked with lots of everything so i only buy what i need on an "as needed" basis. most of the $50 a week is spent on coldcuts for DH's lunches

4 of us, 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 grade schooler.

I try and spend $100 but it is usually over but did get by at $93 a couple of weeks ago. :)

This week was $127.

Re: Poll of the Week! 2/20/12

We would spend about $100-150/month on groceries for 2. However, we eat out a lot and DH works for a pasta factory so we always have an unlimited supply of frozen ravioli & tortellini.

Lately, I've been couponing as we're trying to eat out less. I can buy enough groceries for us plus extra stuff to stockpile (health & beauty products, cereal, snacks, and other non-perishables) for well under $100/week.

It varies but usually around $200-$250 per week. That's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 4 people. I want to start using coupons but I can't ever remember them.
