8 days late and now brown discharge
what does this mean?
I've been testing all week and the results are negative. I went to my first RE appointment last month. They told me that as soon as I get my AF to call them so that they can do more testing. I'm not sure if I should call them yet? Lately, I've been having off cycles. Last month I was 4 days late. I've never been 8 days late. But I'm thinking stress is making me later and later. Is that possible?

I know when you are charting the first day of full flow would be considered CD1, so I would say they probably don't mean just brown discharge. Call them for peace of mind! And yes, stress can change your cycle.

I wouldn't consider the discharge your period. And stress for sure can affect your cycle!

thanks. it probaly is the start of my AF. i'm going to call my RE and schedule an appointment.
i really wish i wasn't so stressed out about this. i never wanted something so bad. it's all i think about.

That is so normal! I think a lot of us feel that way. It's hard because I feel like it is so out of my control and I hate feeling out of control. It will happen for us though!

It'll probably start in a day or 2. Spotting can be normal before AF. If your RE told you to call on CD1, I'd wait for full flow. They'll probably have you come in CD2 or CD3 to do testing, and if AF hasn't started, you'll just have to come back when it does. They want your hormones to have dropped so they can get some baseline readings.

fingers crossed for all of us! 
it is so weird, today i had no spotting or bleeding. i'm so confused. you're right, maybe i should wait until it is truly AF to see my RE so my levels are right for testing.
