8 week shots
I am soo nervous about Cadence getting her shots. MY hands are shaking and my heart is beating so fast. She is getting them tomorrow at 11... I am crying writing this.

I was nervous also, but it wasn't as bad as I anticipated...Cate had 3 shots and one oral vaccine and the doctor was great and did it really quickly...she screamed, but I had a bottle ready for her immediately and she calmed down quickly...Good luck!

Dont worry, you will get through it!!!
Taylor got the oral vaccine first, which she loved! Then the poor thing got 2 shots in each thigh...I cried!!! After a few minutes she calmed down.

i agree, the anticipation is the worst...mikayla cried for like 2 minutes...

Don't worry - it will be fine! Thomas had his 8 week shots on Monday. One oral and 3 shots in his thigh. He was already screaming his head off befor the shots were given! He cried harder when the dr. gave each shot (and so did I), but as soon as it was done, I picked him up and he calmed down within a minute or so.
He got a slight fever that night (100.2) but other than that was fine!

I was a wreck too. I called the dr. 2 times ahead of time to be prepared. They told me to not feed him before the shots, so when he is crying, the bottle will soothe him.
I was so upset - taking my happy little baby who for sure will be traumatized for the rest of his life and never trust his mommy again for bringing him to this place of torture...
Well, he got his shots. They bled more than I imagined. Of course he was crying. I was a mess. I give him his bottle. 2-3 sucks from the bottle, and he starts smiling and smiling and smiling at me. I couldn't believe how quickly he recovered, unscathed with no trauma!
He had a slight fever later, and I gave him some tylenol.
He was completely FINE!
Breathe!!!
