8 years ago today...
you were taken from us. Even though we knew it was coming, it does not make it any easier to accept. Even so many years later, the hurt is still there.
8 years and you've missed so much. You could not be there for my wedding. You could not be there for the birth of your grandson's. You could not see their milestones, hear their laughs, see their smiles. Even though they will know about you through my memories and pictures, they are missing out on so much.
You are thought about every day. You are missed. You are loved.
Rest in Peace, Mom.

But you're wrong my dear, your mom was there for your wedding, your sons births, and will continue to be there as you make new memories. Maybe not the way you always envisioned it, but she's there.

Thanks ladies. It's amazing to me how every year I think it's getting better and yet...it doesn't. I appreciate the kind words and support. I know she's here with us when I need her. It would just be nice if she could be here physically as well.
