80's themed 30th bday party
i need simple ideas for decorations..im on a budget...its at a VFW hall and they dont allow you to hang things on the walls..can anyone give me an idea on table decorations? balloons? THANKS in advance.

You can do an 80's movie theme & name each table a different movie from the 80's.
I would also do neon balloons

LOVE this! For the pretty in pink table you can overlay pink lace and all different fabrics and bows like her dress. And pearls.

Make sure there's a blow up saxophone at the St. Elmo's Fire table too... What were the candy bars in the Goonies?
Back to the future table too...
I'd go to Party City but I have one right near my house. You may have to make multiple stops at different places like fabric stores and whatnot.

I would get a bunch of glow sticks and put it in clear glass vase as a centerpiece to make a glowing bouquet.
Use black, silver, and neon colored tableware
If you can, get movie posters & affix them to posterboard & display them around the room
I would get sunglasses like Tom Cruise uses in risky busiess & pearls & gaudy jewelry like Madonna wore & spread them around the tables.
You can also get a bowl & fill it 80's themed candy such as POP Rocks or candy necklaces..
For drinks - give them fun names after 80's movies. For example, make a Cosmopolitan but call it "Pretty in Pink." Mix cranberry juice, blue curacao, and vodka for a "Purple Rain."
