9 month old who cries to be held...HeLp

my 9 month old lately has been crying at my leg and wants to be held alot more often then usual...she comes to look for me if im not in the room....ive worked with kids for 10 years and i understand seperation anziety in babies/children but im just wondering what other moms are doing to handle this. I am a stay at home mom and i also babysit for other kids in my home as well so she is used to having me around all the time as well as other kids in the house ...so i dont know if this is a stage or if this is part of her personality. Just looking for helpful and new ideas to handle this because i know she is a baby still but i dont want this to be a hablit of any kind
thanks!- Amy

I notice there is a natural increase and decrease in clingy-ness every few weeks. Maybe coinciding with teeth, maybe due to not feeling well, or maybe because there is a full moon... either way I try to hold her when she wants to be held. Then the next week she is running off again. I wouldn't think too hard on long term implications on this one.

I think you are right about the teething and the extra clingyness....im just hoping thats all it is because i do not want my baby to be whiny to get what she wants, yes i know she is still a baby and is 9 months old and i do hold her alot and spend alot of one on one since i stay home with her....i guess thats my concern, that she always has that and she will start to always want me to be near her instead of on her own playing...thanks for the advice!!!!!!!!!!!!
