9 months, and no teeth?OK SO NOW I FEEL STUPID..
No teeth, no nubs, nothing?
Is this normal? I know the ped didn't think much of it, but it concerns me that he doesn't have any comign in yet. I'm a mom who sees kids his age with one, two, five teeth and I just need to know that there are some kids out there his age that started late as well.
He is teething and slobbering, but he's been doing this for about 4 months now.
Update:
So yesterday I'm giving DS his dinner and he grabbed the spoon in his mouth and it caught on, you guessed it...a tooth!! It's the left front one. All this time I'm feeling for the bottom one's and he starts to cut one of the top one's. it's still in the early stages, but you can actually see some white in there!!
Yeah DS

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
Don't be concerned..they WILL come in!
My friends sons were both very late teethers. One had no teeth at 12 months, but they came in at 13. The other son had 2 teeth at 11 months and the rest shortly followed..perfectly normal!!
Enjoy it while he can't bite you, lol!!

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
DS got his first tooth right before he turned 10 mos. By a year he had 6 teeth! They all came in at one. At a year and a half he has 13 teeth (all of his front teeth, all of his one year molars, and a two year molar. He has yet to cut his eye teeth, although they have been *nubbing* for about 3 mos!)

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
At DD's 9 month check up she showed absolutely positively NO signs of a tooth. Before she hit 10 months she had 1 1/2, and now just weeks away from a year she has 4 with 4 emerging.

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
Chelsea started cutting her first tooth a couple of days after she turned 9 months. I didn't get teeth until after I was a year old. I wouldn't worry!

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
They will come in, everyone gets teeth sooner or later. There is a little boy in my son's play group who is 11 months and just got his first teeth. The range for them to appear is wide.

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
Lily got her first teeth at 11 months 1 week. Now she's 18 months and has about 12. They say late teeth are a blessing because the babies aren't in as much pain. (Who knows if it's actually true...but teeth hae never bothered Lily at all)

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
Elizabeth is 10 months and there are no teeth in sight! People have been telling me she's teething since she was 4 months old and they've been wrong wrong wrong so at this point, I'm convinced that she'll start kindergarten before she gets a tooth.

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
Nate was days shy of 10 months when he got his first tooth. The second came the folowing week, He is 11 months old now and still has 2 teeth. But I still nurse so I'm not complaining . My ped said if there are no teeth at his 18 month check up then it's time to get concerned.

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
My dd didn't get her first tooth until just before her first birthday. She is 16 months and she only has 5 so far. My doctor told me not to worry about it and everyone else tells me that her teeth are really strong b/c they took longer to come in. (Not sure if that's a wive's tale, but it made me feel better)

Re: 9 months, and no teeth?
DD got her 2 bottom teeth sometime after 7 months, but that was it until she was year. At 1 she got her 2 top teeth and than around 15 months they all just started popping in at the same time.
