(90210) Since I missed the week before..

Can someone help explain what happened with that teacher Mathews and the "undercover" cop?? I'm really confused.

She was invited to a party that was over Silvers house by the guy that sits next to her in Matthews class. She was trying to get drugs from him at the party but when he didn't have any and he tried "talk" to her but she blew him off. The next scene she is getting it a car with her teacher Mr. Matthews and the guy she blew off saw her and him together. Anyhow the guy tries to blackmail Mr. Matthews for a A in his class SO that he can get back on the football team. So Matthews goes to the principal and he was told that he would have to go on forced leave until the undercover drug investigation was done ( the principal did not want to jeopardize the investigation). He was SO upset because he did not want his students thinking that he hooked up with a student. He stormed out of the school.
