updated again 10/23 Need some prayers, it's cancer.
My Dad has cancer. I have to take him tomorrow for a body scan and bone scan to see if it has spread. Prostate cancer is apparently agressive. PLease say some prayers. I'm so sick over this.
Update 10/19
My Dad had the bone scan and body scan yesterday. We were at the hospital for 8 hours. Horrible. We got the results of the biopsy back and the cancer is agressive. We have to wait until Monday to meet with the surgeon to go over the scans and discuss what comes next.
I'm ready to throw up - I can't believe this is happening.
**Update 10/23**
My Dad went to the doctor today to get the results of the bone scan and body scan. The cancer has NOT spread beyond the prostate!!!! I never thought I'd be so happy to hear it's "ONLY" prostate cancer.
I cried like a little girl when my Dad told me LOL I raced over to his house and gave him a huge hug - many huge hugs. Then he came back over to my house and had dinner with us.
This is such a huge relief. He is going for a 2nd opinion on wed and then will make a decision about what kindof treatment/surgery he will have.
I just wanted to thank you all for your prayer and hugs, I believe that there is a power in many prayers and I thank you so much!!
I weill keep you all updated...but for now, I just want to exhale...
