A 3 hour nap.....
We spent the whole day out and so Emily didn't take an afternoon nap....
when we got home at around 5ish she was exhausted and cranky, so I laid her down.....
now over 3 hours later she's still sleeping, tossing & turning from time to time, but I even went in there to check on her and she didn't wake up (normally just me opening the door wakes her up)
I feel stupid posting this, being that she's 19 mos old and I should know the answer to this question already....
but should I wake her up, feed her dinner, get her in her PJs, and put her back to bed?
I'm just worried because she barely ate lunch today since we were out & about...and didn't have dinner....plus I really don't want to have to wake up at 3am and have her all ready with lots of energy...
or should I just let her sleep and see what she does? (which I'm thinking is the right answer)

Re: A 3 hour nap.....
I'd wake, feed her, change her and let her play a little bit then maybe give her a bath to mellow her out and put her back to bed. Be prepared she may be cranky though but I wouldn't want the 3am wake up either.

Re: A 3 hour nap.....
I'd also wake and feed. Last time I did that with my son thinking he would sleep all night, he woke up and thought he just had a long nap and was raring to go at 11 pm

Re: A 3 hour nap.....
I think I would probably wake her too. Start making some noise...

I let Sarah sleep and she will always sleep through the night. It's weird, I always expect to hear her calling me at 2am.

Re: A 3 hour nap.....
I was EXTREMELY noisy and she didn't wake up, but I was worried about her diaper and also that she'd wake up at 3am.....so I woke her up.
We just laid her back down after her being up in an hour and a half. In that time she had a bottle and ate 2 chicken nuggets. She woke up saying Nuggie Nuggie so I guess she was hungry.

Slept thru until about 7am, which is just about normal wake-up time anyway.

That's Great! DS is a lot younger and there was one night last week where he had a bottle at 5:30PM and fell asleep around 8PM. We waited and waited but didn't hear from him until 7AM the next day. I had him out pretty much all that day too. Guess the fresh air does it.
