A big Poop Ball??? Too young?
SO when I changed DS diaper this morning, he did not have his usual mushy poop, it was a hard ball, almost a human poop. He is 9 1/2 weeks, and still only on formula, does this mean he is constipated. He always works hard at getting his poop out, but it has never been hard before. He pooped during the night, and I heard him pushing, but he never cried? Normal or not?

My son is part robot so he does robot poops.
Sorry...had to laugh at the phrase human poops.

I would keep an eye on it. I can't remember but I think at this point since he is only on formula his poops should be pasty not solid. If it continues I would call the dr and see about a formula with less iron.

It might be hard if he did the poo in the night and it wasn't changed until the morning. That might be the reason why!

Thanks all, his next poopy was just fine. I am thinking because he pooped during the night, it mixed with the powder I put in his nightime diaper, he doesn't usually poop at night, and thankfully has not again.
SO SORRY about the lame bluntness of the post. Thanks for responding to my silly post

dont laugh - when Cailen was born - I did 2 loads of seperate laundry....
1 was "baby wash" and the other was "people wash"

My pediatrician told me that hard poop = constipation...I would watch it for the next couple of days...
