My cycles have been ALL over the place. I mean it's been crazy. In February I had a 40 day cycle. Last month I was surprised when I started spotting on CD23 (I didn't get full flow until CD29).

We had started BDing every other day from CD10 to make sure we cover all of our bases because my cycles have been very unpredictable. As of last month we started BDing every other day from CD5. We wanted to make sure if it was another short cycle we would be okay.

In the meantime I have been looking at my saliva for ferning. To my surprise I had a full ferning pattern on CD12 (again a bit early) and I peed on a leftover OPK just to see and I had a line. It wasn't as dark as the control but it was there.

Now I just spit on a slide again and I have a full ferning pattern AGAIN. It is CD19. We stopped BDing on CD15 because we thought we were good.

I don't know if that means it is a rise in estrogen because my period is coming or because of conception. Does anyone have any experience with this (particularly people who have looked for ferning post-ovulation)? Do you think it's possible I could be fertile again or do you think my window has passed.

I'm confused. Chat Icon
