A funny little laugh for all the new mommies....
So, today I decide to venture into rectal thermometer land... I read the directions a hundred times, lube the thermometer up with A&D ointment, take a deep breath, and go for it...
I'm standing there, watching the numbers go, and think - well, this isn;t so hard...
Cailen doesn't seem uncomfortable... I'm like, I can do this!
Then, I stand there with my mouth open in shock as I watch my son proceed to pee ALL over his face!!!!!!
You live and learn... the next time around, I put a receiving blanket over his little doo dad.
Yup - another new mom experience!

The first time I used a rectal DS tried so hard to push it out that he pooped
lol- yeah the rectal stimulation usually helps them poop... when theyre having trouble going its actually a good way to help move things along.... but only when really necessary.

The first time I used rectal thermometer, my son pooped too! The exact second I was going to put it in - I didn't even have a change to insert it yet!

rectal stim was a lifesaver for me on many occasions.....
