Janet - You're welcome and thank you. Thanks for the opportunity to use what has happened to Kenneth and turn it into a positive for others. I know that is now going to be our purpose. Kenneth will continue to improve amazingly well and on top of that, we get to help others improve.
Today is the first day I've been on here in a while - I've been working 10 hour days and it'll be like this until Christmas until I finally get a break. But, I did get off earlier than normal last night and went to visit Jeremy. I didn't even put 2 and 2 together until today that he is the person you wrote me about days ago. It all came full circle last night when his mother mentioned you. We know his Uncle who is a Detective in Nassau and honored my brother with the Honorary Law Enforcement Man of the Year Award only a few weeks ago - how ironic?? Amazing how God works. So, when his nephew got a head injury he called my mother and I who got him in touch with Dr. DeFina whom he met that night (we invited Dr. D to be there when Ken got his award). Weird, right?!
I'm thrilled that heroic Dr. DeFina can help Jeremy and get him into Kessler - the best place for him to be. On top of that, he'll be in Dr. DeFina's program which continues state-of-the-art care even after he leaves Kessler.
I met Jeremy, I spoke with him, I've seen HUNDREDS of brain injured patients since Ken got hurt - he is going to be FINE. I know it. He is going to recover and return to the nice life he enjoyed before this happened. He is going to have a little bit of a recovery road in front of him but he'll do it - I can tell.
Thank you again - it is a blessing for me and my family to help others in need. It is also great for me to spread the good word of Dr. DeFina and his work. He does so much good for so many people. He is literally the difference between living a quality life and living in a nursing home for SO many people. He is the ONLY doctor in the country doing this - he is the ONLY one treating the "untreatable". I have been and will continue to devote any free time and energy I have to supporting the International Brain Research Foundation because of that.
God Bless! I look forward to the positive updates! My Mom was in Jersey today at IBRF and said they were talking about how they had Jeremy's records sent over so that gets the ball rolling so when he is good to go to Kessler he can just go!

All happy tears! you have NO clue what this means to our family. No words can express this. I do not know if you where told about Jae's music life. He has a cd out there and he wrote a song for his mom when we thought we might lose her and I was just listing to it and all i could think of was OMG how and WHY. Then your smiles and your positive energy ran though me and just like I yelled at my mom at the hospital I KNOW HE will be ok. HE WILL SING again. I NEED to hold on to that. I WILL hold on to that. He will be that firefighter again. But it is hard as you can understand. He is my baby cousin who I adore. Thank you again Danielle. and Thank your family Please you really have NO clue what it means to us. When this first happened all i told was Mom I need to get in touch with you, I need to find out the Dr.s names. and she said ya ok. BUt when it was confirmed last night my moms tears the other night went from sad to joy and has that hope I do have. My mom in flights of tragedy has a hard time believing in miracles and you bringing Kens Drs to my cousin gave her and our family the hope we needed. I kept telling her if they can get Ken to where he is now and not give up on the hope on him I know they can get Jae to where he will be alive again! I am sorry i am all over the place( but then again when am i not LOL ) I am just so happy to have Ken's drs. on my cousins side. I now know there is a possibility of him singing again! THANK YOU AGAIN THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!
