A little bit of an embarassing question
Is anyone finding that their life has gone to the waste side since becoming pregnant?
My DH said he has trouble with knowing that our baby is in my belly. He finds it weird and wrong.
Its making me feel sad and not as close to him as I was. We are being open and honest about it which is good, but its still upsetting and I can't help but feel a little unattractive
Anyone at all have a similar issue?????

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
I have the opposite problem.... DH wants to but I don't.... at first it was bc I was nervous but now it's more that I feel so fat & nasty and also that I have no energy

That's how I felt too in the beginning. But then I realized that he wasn't really trying to get me to , and before I was pregnant he always did. So once I realized that he wasn't trying anymore it became a challenge to me and made me want to
Anyway- bottom line is I feel like C R A P because it still hurts a little even though logically it has nothing to do with me, its his issue.

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
My DH and I haven't since we made this baby. I am not even kidding. Its been 3 months. For the first couple of weeks after my BFP I didnt want to BD just to be safe. Then, I got a cyst...so my RE said not to BD until I was feeling ok. Well...once I was feeling OK with the cyst...my sex drive was GONE...zip...zero...NONE!!!! Its so sad. Now, I have a new painful cyst...so my RE said absolutely NO at all....so it looks like we;re in for a drought.

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
My dh thought it was weird as well and to be honest, I didn't want to screw anything up (as in spotting etc). We dtd one time and really haven't been interested in it. But then again we never had a very active sex life. Pretty amazing we got preg in the first place

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
The doc told me we couldn't until at least the 1st sono, which everything was fine. I asked at my last appt. if we could now and she said yes, but I have NO drive whatsoever. NONE. DH on the other hand is always ready, but he understands that I don't want to. I feel a little bad, but what are ya gonna do?

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
we ed a lot in the beginning, especially in the second trimester when i wanted it all the time... i've tried to keep up with it in the third but over the past few weeks everything hurts down there, mysterious things leak out (mucous plug, bleeding after internals, etc), and the only somewhat comfortable position for me is doggy (and that has been less than pleasant lately).... dh doesn't mind but i feel like a gross mess. we still try to 1-2x per week, especially since it can help induce labor!

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
We didn't at all in the very beginning between the IVF and all of those restrictions. Once we were cleared DH was worried to take any chances, on top of the fact that I was on progesterone inserts until 12 weeks so I was very dry and icky . Even since then I've just had no desire at all. DH has been amazing though and hasn't pressured me at all. SOmetimes I feel bad but the lack of desire takes over the bad feeling

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
Yep. Dh and I havent since I last ovulated...so, yea, 15weeks of no lovin' In the beginning it was my fault since I was scared of another MC (yes, I know sex doesnt cause a MC but I was still nervous). Now Im in my 2nd tri and have been, kinda...in the mood..and DH just says hes tired but sometimes I think hes just scared because of the baby being there. I dont push the subject though..

I've been getting constant UTIs and yeast infections since my BFP...so it's more of a physical restraint.

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
We were BDing about once a week or once every two weeks up until about 2 months ago ( we are 34 weeks with twins) and I don't think we will be doing it anymore till after the LO's get here. DH said to me last night when I was undressing to get in the shower "Wow, thats really a disaster. I don't think I need to see that"
Yes, he was referring to my belly and private area...I had to laugh! Does he think I want to look like this???

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
We still but DH is very careful not to put too much weight on me. Its very hard for me to be on top because I get the worst leg cramps. Sometimes he will be into it and I dont want to tell him no but I feel the baby moving and it weirds me out a bit. I have to then rush him along.

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
My dh got freaked at the end of pregnancy with dd. He was afraid he could feel her move LOL. My Dr convinced him it was good for us to do it and fine for the baby. After that he was fine.

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
Not sure if I am the only one out there, but with first pregnancy we didn't do it AT ALL (the whole 9 months) and I am expecting the same thing for this pregnancy.

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
At 33 w I can count on one hand how many times we have DTD during this pregnancy. Before pregnancy our sex live was definitly not the most active but if it was up to DH it would have been! Since BFP, he doesnt even ask anymore, and when we do he seems tentative or nervous , always thinks we will upset the baby AHAHA. I dont think its bc he is not atttracted to me bc of weight gain or whatever I think it just weirds him out that the baby is in there ... Its fine with me! And the fact that he tells me I look Purty or cute or whatever generally when I complain about being a heffer, makes me feel ok about the lack of BD. I do feel closer to him than ever before , even though we havent been BD;ing much , we'll snuggle and talk about the baby or he'll rub my belly and feel for the baby.
Try to do other things that make you feel connected and definitly dont think its bc he doesnt find you attractive, I dont think thats the case at all!

Re: A little bit of an embarassing question
We have not since we conceived! DH wants to but, I want to wait until I'm in my 2nd tri. I know they say its safe but, I'm too paranoid plus I feel like crap most of the time anyway.
I think once I get bigger DH will be afraid to do it!!
