A little early, but how to handle seeing fireworks with a toddler?
4th of July plans came up the other day and I was thinking how much DS would LOVE fireworks. But he'll only be 15 months and goes to bed at 8. How would you/did you handle fireworks with a younger kid when they go to bed before the fireworks? Do you keep them up? Let them fall asleep and then wake them up for a bit?

Re: A little early, but how to handle seeing fireworks with a toddler?
My DD was 14 months last year for 4th of July. Honestly, she didn't care about the bangs during the day and at night she slept right through it all. Personally, i'd never wake her or mess with sleep.
But def see how your DC reacts during the day to the loud booms and go from there
This year now she'll be 26 months, i'm sure she like it more since she actually knows and can understand more what's going on.

Re: A little early, but how to handle seeing fireworks with a toddler?
Last year my 2 boys (both toddlers)
could not WAIT to see the fireworks on the night of the 4th!
By the time the display started, they both fell asleep.
I tried to wake them up, my older son (at the time he was 2 1/2) woke up,
but my 18 month old slept thru it, he wouldnt get up!
I dont think you will do any damage by attempting to wake them that ONE night,,,if they get up,they get up!
