a little freaked out tell me its ok....
I went for my 16 week check up and when the dr checked the HB with the doppler it sounded weird first I could hear it and then it would change to a knocking noise the dr said to the nurse he thinks something was wrong with the machine but I am a little freaked out. If something was wrong I would think he would have sent me for further testing right?? talk me down girls lol

did they have another doppler to check with??? If the doctor was in the least bit concerned I'm sure he/she would've went to look for another one.

Absolutely he would have sent you for more testing if he thought something was wrong. Please dont worry. But if it makes you feel better call the doctor so he can reassure you

I think all of us pregnant women are crazy neurotic moms....especially us first timers.
I honestly think you and the baby are perfectly fine but you need peace of mind. Plus think of it this way....you're not the first person to call the doctor with questions or concerns. I'm sure many women call on a daily basis

I would call it will put your mind at ease. I am sure everything is fine, and you have nothing to worry about. Just call so you can relax. We are all a little nutty I think it takes a little bit of nutty to be a mom.

If anything was rong the dr ould've done a sono. The first they used the doppler on me they couldn't find the heartbeat so they did a sono. HUGS!

yes, I had mine today and it was very staticy and we only faintly heard the hb for like 10sec. If there was a problem they would have done a sono I'm sure.

They only need to hear two beats to know everything is okay and calculate the rate. But sometimes hold it longer so that you can hear it.
