A local company that can install handicap-accessible items??
We need to find someone who specializes in ordering and installing things like chair lifts for stairwells, special handicapped showers, ramps, etc. We found one company that does just the widening of doorways but nothing else. I've searched and can't seem to find anything on Long Island -- we would like one company to do everything, if possible, rather than having to deal with five different companies.
Workman's Comp will be covering all the expenses. This is preparing for the next step in Kenneth's recovery - when he comes home from Kessler. He MIGHT not need these items OR he may only need these types of things when he is really tired or something... but to be safe - we have to have them put in.
TIA!

My ILs just had a stair lift installed in their home in Brooklyn. i will check with them to see who did it. They shopped around a lot. Kessler can also probably recommend a company that can come and assess the house to ensure it is ready for Kenneth to come home.

Kessler did recommend a company but they are in NJ and do not travel as far as Long Island. They did recommend one company ON Long Island that they work with but they do stair lifts ONLY - we were hoping to find one that does a few things we will need. If not, we can always go back to that. We also need someone who can re-do plumbing - oyy, it is a lot of work!

Thank you.
I called my parents and gave them both numbers.
It is nice that they do stairs and ramps!
