to me - the other one flowed better and was very funny - this one seemed contrived to me - like - yes, we know this is funny so we're going to try really hard to make sure we get all the lingo in - didn't seem as natural to me...

Ok I'm not sure if by Rose you meant the granddaughter- that was what I thought at first and that's why I didn't think it was as good a commercial. (if that's not what you meant I apologize). But after I saw it a few times I realized she calls the girl "Beth-Ann" in the beginning. Once I realized she wasn't just texting the granddaughter, I thought it was funnier (but just cut weird to make it seem like she was texting the granddaughter). Does that make sense?

ohhh.. i didnt mean anything, i was just being a smartazz. I never watched the original commercial in its entirety because when the little girl opened her mouth, i wanted to drop kick her.

oops, sorry I was just hoping someone else made the same mistake as me- that commercial just confused me the first few times I saw it! I agree about the girl, but I thought the grandma was so funny saying "myob, will ya!" that it made up for it to me.
